hate to break it to you if you don't have a big enough tank for an ornate bichir...because this is a baby ornate bichir. ornates and senegals have been known to look almost identically to each other at this stage in their lives. i say if you got money, then progressively upgrade your tank to a 55gallon for now or even a 75 gallon for life. best of luck!

Did you reply to the wrong post? The fish in that picture is NOT a baby ornate, and they look NOTHING alike at really any stage in their lives.

Even the larval form is easily differentiated.
