Lets Show Off those Polypterus!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well not really bulk discount. I got them for $13 a piece. Only one of them is patternless. The other two have black stripes but not fully develop yet. I hope they become full stripes when older.

And aquanot that's not a polypterus on your videos. It's a violet goby or dragon goby just like xrayz said. They're brackish water fish so it's best that they live in brackish water and not freshwater.

wow.. for 13 bucks i would have picked up a few also. thats a nice price. good pick up.
how much they charging for other polys?

My lfs is a wholesaler that's open to the public. I think most of their fish comes from Asia and probably are farm bred there. I think they only sell ornates, delhezis, albino senegals and regular senegals. The ornate and delhezi goes for about the same. Don't know about the senegals.

Nice pics everyone... and this thread helped me decide what to do on the new tank! POLY QUESTTTT! And oh yeah. Now I'm even MORE confused at telling the species apart. I know senegals and ornates ... and then I get all confused. Glad you guys can tell em apart :)
