Leucistic NGT

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I saw this happen with an oscar in a brazilian board some time ago... In this thread, precisely. :D

It used to be a normal tiger O and became "discolored" with no reason, like this dat. Unfortunately the pic links are not functioning anymore, but I'll try to find them and post here. :nilly:

Keep us updated on this baby.

Best regards.

Daniel.

So your saying that it went from being a colored male fish to a white female fish?:WHOA::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

As far as I know, it went from "color" to "white"... Still no proof on the "male" to "female" part :ROFL::ROFL:

Here are some more pics of him

Keep an eye on him all time.... I'll scoop him home one day :naughty: :D :D

it appears that sometimes fish with loose their pigmentation for some reason, and sometimes they will gain them back over night. I have witnessed this 2 times in my own fish already. and a few more times on the internet

so in this case, it might be different than the "leucistic" animals that we see and definitely different than the albinos. There must be some environmental factor that triggers this.

Remember I had a mystus sp. like this, a gymnothorax sp. "pied",

Awesome fish, first time seeing it on a datnoid!
