not sure if its any good.. my skinny loaches have been putting on weight.. the main med in it is "praziquantel".. i got it at one of the trusted LFS.. the owner says he feeds it to all of his fish... it may verywell be trash but i was unable to get my hands on any levamisole..

the loaches LOVE it.. i cant say for sure there was a problem in the first place but i figure worms are no good for anyone

any word if this stuff legit?

im having my uncle (a vet) send me some levamisole.. but for now ive got this..

pardon my workin-man-hands

I just finished the three day dosing. All of my loaches seem to be doing well very active and hungry. I was searcing around and saw that people who have done the fenbendazole tratment used a binding agent (gelatin,or focus by sechem). I just soaked the food in a solution of tank water, bloodworms, shrimp and fenbendazole. My question is how much has doing this reduced the effectiveness of the treatment and how long should i wait to do it again? Thanks again.

it is Safe-Guard® Dewormer Granules (fenbendazole). Adding it to there food.

I'll have to get some of that too, I can't find levamisole either. I was going to try local vets first.

I currently use a gel formula with praziquantel and flubenol. It's expensive but it has worked for me. I use the same method you do. Just don't add a lot of water and let it soak for an hour.

Is it the GELTEK ULTRA CURE PX? The gel looks like it would be easier to use. How long should i wait to retreat?

I was at my lfs the other day and they had the GELTEK ULTRA CURE PX on clearance. I picked up a couple bottles and was wondering if that is what you use? All of my loaches are really active and eating well im going to treat them again next week to make sure i got any parasites.

I treat mine three times a week with the Geltek.

Don't need to, just preventative. It's just what I have done, not what I necessarily recommend or endorse. It's worked fairly well for me.
