I have bought me adjustable plastic feet for furniture and screwed them unter my stand. You can easily adjust the high until it's perfectly leveled. In my opinion a better way then putting shimms under the stand. You only have to check how much weight they can handle and how many you have to put under your stand.

The carpet is going to be removed and replaced with hardwood floors this summer this is really just a temp solution
What are you doing with the filled tank when this summer comes around?
Unfortunately draining it and moving it into my kitchen for a few hours until I get that section of the floor replaced, then it'll go right back and I'll finish the rest of the floor.
