LFS Black Friday tank: Score!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
An LFS near me has an L shaped tank and it was ****ing amazing. they had all kinds of cool stuff in there from Asian arrow's to fronts and a sting ray. I would love to have an L shaped tank.

Thats an amazing score though! especially considering the original price. I would love to have a big corner tank like that so many cool possibilities for it. what are you going to put in there?

and as for deals, I got a 225 gallon 5'x3' footprint with stand and filters the lot for 200 bucks XD that was the deal of a lifetime for sure.

I'm looking forward to building a cool setup. It's going to be a community tank so nothing too aggressive. Loaches, Pleco, Syno, etc.

I need ideas for good dither fish to fill out the higher levels of this tank.

I just set up my new 120 48x24x24. It feels good to have a "decent" sized tank, dosn't it? Well to the avrage aquarist it is huge.

Yeah no joke. My wifes family talks about the now dead patriarch of the family who they considered to be a complete fish nut with his 29g tank.

You should have seen the looks I got for buying a 125 that is on the small side for MFK. lol

I picked up a 220 yesterday, tank, stand, lids, 3 emperor 400's, 2 heaters, lots of decor, for $600. I know the feeling of excitement of getting a new tank for sure!

That's funny. I've had to downsize dramatically, and now all I have is a pair of 29's. I had a 180 and several other medium size tanks not too long ago. I never really thought the 180 was that big. Descent, but nothing to get too excited about.

Good pick-up on your tank. Should make a nice community tank. Roseline barbs are always a nice addition to a descent size community.

Okay, now I am happy for now. I spent a few hours this evening cleaning out the tank after picking it up with my truck. It was filthy, and it was a huge PITA cleaning the bottom. It may seem anal, but I couldnt tell if the inside was clean and I wanted the whole thing to look good.

Anyway I did a test fill and its solid. The only bad thing is my wife convinced me not to set it up (we have an upstairs apartmenft) until we buy a house in a few months. For now it will have a good spot to hang out with the other toys in the garage.
