the second page, second picture and the large cichla in all those pics is an orino.. i will post a pic of my old venz tems so you can see the diff

yes picture 2 and the bigger bass from 3,4 is an orino from jeff
i got real confuse when people say about the temensis lines.
because the orino picture 2 had lines but at picture 3,4 it did not.
but cool maybe now i have 2 orinos since those 2 do the same n look alike. I think the aquarium depot selling O's. Thanks for all the help.
So i guess Orinos and tems have lines also when young..but i just dont know what kind of line defines them how bright, how darker etc.

wow your about to hit the lesson i want to learn.
i hope you post the pix. this will help me a lot. that picture 2 really confused me when it pop lines.. i bet your pictures will show the difference cant wait.
 
ok these are all the same fish.. i had 3 cichla temensis sp. venz.. sorry for the bad pics but you can get the point.. the clearer pics are when they reached about 4+ inches ... if they dont look like any of these pictures they are not a tem

as you can see they have diff characteristic; head shape, fins colors, body markings... they are more of a longer more slender fish.. i have to search other forums for more pics of these guys.. i took a bunch of better pics but posted them in other places ;)
