a lfs just got in some fish that appear to be dats and labeled as tiger fish (approx. 3 inches). was gonna get one but they lookd a lil faded, none of them had any solid coloring. so i was hesitant. do small dats always look faded until they grow older or was it just because they were stressd? oh and they were selling for 17.99 which im pretty sure can be haggled down to 15bucks. is that a good price?

yea that's a good price on it's own for 1" baby indos let alone 3" that should save you a couple of months at least of growing.

u should pick some up for 3" not a bad price. the bars should stabilize once they are acclimated.

I really like dats when they are young... but when they get older i think they just look dumb...

they do look kinda out of it when they get older, but i still like them :)

If you can get them for $15, that's an good price. Unfortunately, I found that some never get bright or black get dark. They get drab looking with the striped faded. It's a chance you take and then weed out the ones that aren't that bright.
