I've never kept Bichirs before, so I know very little about them. I was looking for a decent sized species to go with my Rays, and my buddy at the LFS suggested this fish they ordered in. Apparently the vendor sent them the wrong species of Bichir and they're trying to get rid of it. I've never heard anything about this "Congo Strain" and to be honest, I'm not even sure it's an Endlicheri. It costs $150 and it's on sale for $80. My buddy claims this fish is worth $300 and I'm having a hard time believing that. I was wondering if any one knows how much this fish normally go for, and if so if they have any idea how rare of a find they really are. Thanks!

Most likely a congi. How big is it? Size has a lot to do with price and pics would help if you can get one.

$25, really? Wow! Does anyone know what a Lapradei like that usually goes for? Now I'm just curious.
I don't know if it's a ripoff but I know that it maybe a little over priced. Depending on your area and the rarity of them it could be a good deal but seeing as how your on the west coast you could probably find better bichirs for better deals
