lfs has festae

its heavenly fish who is selling them off as red festae. there out of nj and i bet there the same place selling your lfs as this one.
 
nevermind. its not heavenly fish. i cant put my finger on it but when i remember the name im going to give them a call and ill let you know what they have to say.
 
The stores need to take it seriously. They need to do their own research, if they don't believe the customers, then hold their supplier accountable and make a change if need be.
 
couldnt think of it so i called the lfs back (sea cave) and asked for the wholesaler number so i could explain to them the difference and she said what do i care and i told her i was a fish hobbiest and that i dont like to see fish getting spread around with the wrong name and she said she didnt care. even sent her a fax of the 2 different fish and still wont change the label because she knows she wont get 20 dollers out of 3 inch mayans. i mean common im telling the owner what the fish is and even got photos so she just didnt have to take my word for it but had photos to look at as well and to just say oh well i dont care. hope they go out of buisness
 
More of a saltwater store.. but that distributor is being shady or ignorant the fish are probably from flordia or mexico. Sea Cave has always been helpful to me growing up they are good for the city. I don't buy much anymore, they pretty much keep bread and butter but I do pick up snails and carbon media for my saltwater. I see real festae all the time over at just pets. It is by the indian res in silver creek. about $16 and I have kept the real thing it is easy to tell I think. They are just too aggressive for me. Mine was a Beautiful fish though..until she tried to peck the bichirs eyes out. THAT Hot Shot B****. haha and they are kind of moody color wise.

i have to agree and disagree. steve is helpful but he is saltwater. colleen only seems nice when your buying something if not she doesnt give a crap and shes the one id like to chew out. i guess they lost tfd buissness because joe told steve she was a biaaatch.lol
