I just saw the first page of this thread, but all I hav to say is "Holy Sh-t!" I wish LFS here were as thorough as yours in Malaysia.

Thanx to OP for making this thread. I just wen to xian leng 2day and it really is good. Shud have brought my Canon insted of a compact cam. I have some really bad pics but havent figured out how to post.

Anyways, it wasnt as simple as telling a taxi to go to xian leng becoz all i have asked dont have a clue where it is.

Just to share info, just give the taxi the address
Taman Kanak Kanak
Persiaran Dato Menteri
Seksyen 2, 40000,
Shah Alam.

Open from 11am til 830pm.

My taxi ride cost me Rm$70 one way from city centre. But it was well worth it. Ive never seen rtcxtsn that is 5' long.

I wished i had applied for fish import permit before i went there. Would love to get the arowanas. It was definitely cheaper and more quality than the ones at my place. Oscars were dirt cheap also.

Will go and see the other LFS posted by the OP 2moro. :)

Thanks for your update.
Welcome to Malaysia. Cheers.

Incredible pet stores just unreal. I used to think NY had great pet stores as far as fish went man was I wrong.

I noticed they use sunlight for many of the fish tanks

Man, Malaysia is the Disneyland, the Amsterdam, the Las Vegas to all fish lovers!!! Asian Aros are expensive, even over there in Malaysia. I should've bought one!

Thanks for taking your time to post the pics and share your experience.

Each year In Kuala Lumpur the various Fish Shops, Aquaculture Farms, Dealer and Distributors come together at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center for a few days of exhibition.

It is like a huge bazaar of fish shops and large crowds of fish enthusiasts milling around for a view of the things and latest news.

At the same time there are also competition for the best fishes such as the Arowana, Gold Fishes, Discus, Siamese fighting fish and so on.

Will post a number of pictures here over the coming days so that you can get an idea of the attraction.

Here a some general photopic to start off.
