LFS ordered these by mistake. Score!

Are they around 4" now? I'd expect them to get to 12" within 3 months, as I've seen (and heard) that they can put on 3" a month when they're young. Which is pretty ridiculous :jaw:

They are super eensy. One is about 2.5", and the other is about 3". The faster they grow the better though cuz right now they are occupying my 50gl quarantine tank. When they get too big for that I'll need to put them in something temporary (I have a 300gl tub I might use). But... I'd rather not have a temporary grow out in my living room forever and ever. If it's only a couple months I can cope :p

I could always put a divider in the 600gl for them for a couple months too, but my TSN is a spaz, and I could see him breaking or knocking down anything that wasn't industrial grade. Tub it will be I think :p

Yeah the tub would definitely be a good idea, you might as well move them there now since the higher volume of water will encourage them to grow even faster :headbang2

Unfortunately the tub is sitting on my back porch under my summer tires and several inches of snow. I *could* get it out but uuuuuugh. :p

Haha well i doubt it will be an issue, not a necessity to have it if it's going to be a pain in the neck to get. On a side note those guys are adorable

That is an awesome score my rtc unfortuneatly just passed had to move him in my snakehead tank cause he was to big for the other one .he was fine for a cupple days and i think one of my snakeheads atacked him in the middle of the night cause he had a red mark on one of his gill plates which were both folded forward due to poor water conditions at the store where i got him from.his plates started to come back to normal but never did but i tried my hardest and had him for two years and he was 19" long and about 4" wide when he passed .now i just got two tsn witch r 18" and 16" but really miss my rtc one of these days ill get another one

LOL when I adopted my TSN he was about 28" and he's very social and curious. Needless to say it took a little while to get the nerve to hold still and let him check out my hands with his whiskers.
