Hey guy at my lfs they have two teacup stingrays and they are about 4 inches around they are in a 20 gal with gravel do you guys think I should save them and put them in my new 150 gal it has 2 fluval 404 filters and black sand bottom been set up for a month

how much???

im no ray guru, but been reading and learning alot lately since i picked up my first ray, and from what I heard "Teacup" rays are a generic term for juvi stingrays, so you can eventually end up with a 24" monster one day that will quickly out grow your 150gal or you can end up with a retic that will be good for along time in your tank. So yeah, take it for what its worth, if it would be me I would ask my lfs a bunch more questions about the rays...GL

They are most likely reticulated stingrays if they are that cheap and being sold as "teacups". If you can get a picture of them, we could tell you for sure.

If they're retic's, they would be fine in the 150g for a while. If they're anything else, they would need a much larger home after about a year or so.

They look like retic rays I'm just worried about them getting hurt because of the gravel at the lfs i've been reading about them for months too so I'm a little educated about them but have a lot more to learn
