saw these in my local lfs, all they have is that these cichla were wild caught in columbia. they are about 7 inches already and the color is more vibrant than some monocs that i have seen. and they just ate hence the full stomach. sorry for the link having trouble uploading images. hope you guys can id them for me. thanks!

get a couple and find out...for lookn so good at such a small size they will turn out to be some nice bass regaurdless.

one more group pic... they are actually good looking guys, there are small speckles on the body of some of them if you can see... im wonderin if some of them would retain 4 bars or would the 4th bar eventually fade away.
Look like the Cichla Pleiozona possably wonder if Ritch exported some???

-i know! and since the lfs is specializing in gigantic goldfish, these guys were priced like regular monocs. definitely getting some tomorrow!
-yeah was thinking Cichla Pleiozona but im not an expert on these. and if these guys really came from columbia, they wouldnt be Pleiozonas coz they come from bolivia.... right?

posssabilaty for sure...

Buy as many as you can....There SWEET
in terms of choosing, what should i look for, shape? darkness of the 4th bar? tinges outlining the bars? oh yeah and what cichla species/variant are we lookin at here? seems like a mix of monocs, ocels, and orinos maybe a hybrid?
