lfs tagged it as freshwater red eel?

it was tagged as red eels and they claimed they are freshwater eels.
can anyone confirm if it's really a freshwater eel?and what species?i know they are not really red eel.
I bought 1 and for 2weeks now it is in freshwater.
If you are from philippines and goes to cartimar,you may have seen these guys.
Here are some pics,obviously it's not red under the flash.hehe!i tried getting a shot of it's head but it was too slippery.sorry for the bad shots.i assure you,their heads is like that of a moray,or atleast looks like it.

i'm no eel expert but this eel's skin just sings saltwater to me I just can't explain it

Its a moray eel for sure and they are brackish fish and can live in both fresh or salt water. My lps has them for $15 and their about 12inches. I was thinking of getting one myself to go along with my jar. Also they told me that all you need to do is feed it once a week.
