LFS Temensis big disapointment.

Bought at my LFS it was label as temensis at 1.5'' now 3'' and it turn out to be a mono. I return it and got
my full refund. LFS owner claim that they were sold to him as temensis.

So hard to tell them apart a 1.5" then it started to grow
and I notice the body shape and pattern was not right.
 
Not mention all the food this bass ate I should got my full refund
and more LOL
 
How much did you pay for it? I think I would have kept it because the markings behind the eyes look intriguing. I've never seen that in a young mono of that size. It could have grown into an interesting specimen.

I paid 12.99 for it, it could also be a farm bred hybrid.
 
Temensis are easy to distinguish from other bass when they are young. Tema have straight black stripe which fades as they get bigger and spangled come in. They do have spots daimonds. The only one you may confused is with an Azul which also have a black stripe. The team's stripe is more solid and darker than Azul
