No way is BAS expensive, try a trip to Wharf or Wildwoods, then you will see expensive.:)

well B.A.S want £40 for a 5-6" spotted gar, which is way overpriced, Wildwoods charge £28 for a 10-12" when they have them in and other places are even cheaper

don't know what B.A.S like usually as they dont usually have that many fish i'd be interested in, but the above is the only one i've enquired about and i spose i've just assumed they're always overpriced since then

B.A.S in Bolton is worth a look, tons of tanks, hit and miss if you are looking for something in specific but hold a massive stock, best to ring in advance.

This place is great and if you like snakeheads then this place is a must

just thought i'd add my 2c/p

I know its a bit further south than london but Southern Aquatics in Cadnam has a superb variety of unusual fish including rays, Tigrinus, Snakeheads (micro. and ornate.) bichirs, large cats and cichlids as well as the more basic stuff. That was what i spotted on my last visit and that was Tuesday. They get lots in and all is very reasonably priced. The only down side is they overstock a lot of their tanks and perhaps are a little understaffed leading to dirty glass. But otherwise, a very good store.

Oh and accessories are incredibly well priced. They did have FX5's for 99.99 a month or so ago...
