East Midlands Aquatic Centre in Trowell, Nottingham,
http://www.practicalfishkeeping.co.uk/pfk/pages/shopfinder.php?store=1194&thiscountyNottinghamshire

I've been to each of these shops and this is what I can tell you

- Wildwoods is great. lots of tanks on show, great for large preds. Fantastic show area.

- Wholesale has some of the best customer service I've ever known. Terry really knows his stuff and there are are plenty of good fish available

- Tropical imports I haven't been to, but I have bought fish from. Dan is a sound bloke.

- Wharf is my favourite store of all time. Has plenty of knowledgable staff (Quite a few write for PFK), great selection of oddballs, and fantastic looking tanks.

- East midlands aquatic center in trowell was disappointing. A single outshouse style shed with few tropical fish.

In Nottingham I would much rate "Nottingham world of water" over the trowell store, as at trowell you will find little, if any oddballs. Nottingham world of water has puffers, large cichlids, and a few other oddballs. Not many, but more than the other store. You will find even more oddballs available at "Tall trees" garden center round the corner, but I would never, ever buy fish from there. An unethical store, with tatty fish, a tiny display tank (with a TSN with a bent spine) and staff that sell for money rather than fish. Look but dont touch at that store.

Thanks a lot for useful tips! I've printed out maps for Wildwoods, Wholesale, and Wharf.
Fits with the trip plans too :)

Thanks, but we have to go to the Koi-show in Newark on saturday.
But if you will join us your welcome :)

I had no idea that there was a Koi show in newark! I checked your album out and saw your great pond!

I might pop to the show, where abouts is it?
