my favorite is Beldt's Aquarium on Howdershell Rd in Saint Louis, Missouri. they are very knowledgeable and put good advice over profit. One day I was there, I even saw a customer turned away because they wanted to put a rbp into a goldfish bowl and the employee wouldn't sell it to them after he explained all the needs this fish has and they said they still thought it would be fine in the 1 gallon bowl.

Ill be going down to salisbury with my girlfriend next weekend, i was just wondering if anyone there knows of any good fish stores not too far out of the area that i should check out. thanks in advance =]

I havnt been to Detroit in a few months but heres my say

Lou's Pet shop (Grosse Point)
Fair Selection, Young but knowledgable staff, sometimes tanks can get dirty, prices seemed high, but then again it is in Grosse Point. I had a few questions about a couple fish I was interested in and the attendent didnt know the answer, so he called the owner as well as thumbed through their selection of books to find me an answer.

Oceans and Sea (Roseville)
fair selection, staff pretty much ignore the customers, clean tanks. They had some cool oddballs but nothing terribly out of the ordinary and their prices seemed on average

Pet Supplies Plus (St. Clair Shores)
It helps when you know most of the staff and they are willing to order you what ever youd like and keep it in a seperate tank in the back. lol

Let's keep this list going, Im gonna be heading back to Detroit in a month or so and would love to have some new places to chek out
