I looked on the homepage - it's in, or near VA beach. How's the selection of oddballs / cichlids?

Anyone care to give me directions from DC?

I don't mind driving 4 hours for a store worthy of my trip Anyone gone there? Worth my time, or is it just another "good lfs" ?

It's good dealing in mass size and variety of all animals. they have a wall of guessing 15-20 100G+ tanks for oddballs and large fish. I can't guarantee great or rare fish are stocked constantly but it's usually a very good chance. Their website updates pretty regularly I'd say checking the "LOOK! THIS JUST IN!" might help with planning. I'm going up tomorrow morning actually possibly take some better pictures. it's definitively huge about the size of a small wal mart and has a nice size shark pond near the entrance. Shark Feedings are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday Nights @ 7PM

Sounds like I'll be going down there Could you give me directions from DC? And what are other stores on the way, OR in that area, that I could make a full day of it? Would love to hear about what you find when you go again. Are their prices always this low?

as far as directions go I'd suggest mapquest, I've only driven up to DC once. As far as food it's in a shopping center with #1 chineese food and toni's pizza, and other fast food places across the street. pretty conveniently located right off the interstate.

Are there any other fish stores in the area, or on the way?

I cannot seem to pull up their address for mapquest. I reckon I'd be taking Route 95 South - thanks again

Fish Safari is another great lfs with great potential for rarities or oddballs http://www.fishsafari.com/
