ocean blue is expensive dont go there. if your gonna shop there might as well order a bichir from a vendor for the same price, but the bichir is gonna be more rare and better size. lfs usually only have the common bichirs, delhezi, ornate, senegal, albino senegal, endli, and once in a while they get different ones. the vendor will most likely have top of the line fish
and bichir from Vendor is better quality :D

Alan's pet shop on lincoln blvd. in Venice is selling:
Endli: 3-4" 13.99
Delhizi: 4" 17.99
Albino Senegals: 14.99
Also, nice looking RTC for 12.99
Large Spotted puffers for 5.99
Sun Catfish for 2.99

i don't know what stock they have currently, mostly because i haven't bought any fish in almost a year, and i think their prices are higher than they need to be. But i have seen various types of bichers at Pet World on Harriman in Redlands many times.

if you're in the IE or gonna make a trip out here for whatever reason it's a great place to stop and look around also.

aquatic warehouse in kearny mesa has consistently had bichirs for the past year now, but their prices are a little higher than usual (about $10 more than you would expect to pay), but they do have a decent selection. They had juvi dels and a small ornate for $50! last week. Octopuss' Garden, about 3 mins away, usually doesn't have any polys.

Also, pet kingdom in point loma has a new batch of juvi ornates now for $30 a pop.

For the dedicated adventurer, pet zone off university ave in city heights usually has ornates and sens for about $15-30. The place looks a little ghetto, but the fish are well taken care of. I got a knife fish here about a year ago and he's an absolute beast now!

Right when I was going to post all SD LFS with bichirs...but yeah you should check out Pet Zone, it's the LFS I usually go to now to get my fish, the owners there are nice, and will usually give you a couple dollar discount if your friendly with them and especially know how to speak cantonese ;D. But yeah I bought my orante from there and he's a beast, I also wanted a CK but they've been sold out for a couple of months T.T.

If I were you, I'd just keep looking at the For Sale ads on MFK. You'll get a better deal from someone here. Plus, you can buy from someone who probably took good care of the fish before he sold it to you, unlike a lot of LFS owners who sell small overpriced bichirs in cramped tanks.
