Lid-less tank w/o nitrates

somthing you might try if you plan to leave your tank open lid are water lillies from your local pond plant supplier. they are amazing nitrate removers but will die in a closed tank

wow. thats a good idea! lol. That would be pretty neat. But would that block the light going to the swords. I just have a standard light setup.
