Liddell vs "Rampage" Jackson

I want Chuck to win. I think Rampage is a beast of a fighter but I just want Chuck to smoke him. But with '07 being the year of the upset I don't want to make any assumptions. But no matter who wins it should be a good brawl and the fans will win.

I'd love to see both of them eventually fight Sokoudjou from PrideFC. If you haven't seen this kid fight, look up his fights against lil nog and arona. AMAZING talent out of Team Quest.

It's going to be an amazing fight no matter who wins. I think Chuck can definetly pull it out, this is the last fight he has to get revenge on and I think he wants it a lot more. Rampage just has to remember he's in an octagon now, not a ring.

UFC 72 has a much better card going so far compared to this one though, Rich Franklin and Tyson Griffin both have fights. I like to see more then one good fight compared to an amazing main event. Can't wait to see both though.

Yea I give Chuck the advantage for the first 2 or 3 rounds but I think if it goes past that Rampage could take it. But last ppv (69) all my picks lost lol.

Damn, I was looking forward to Franklin/Kampmann but just found out some bad news

Martin Kampmann (Pictures) has been forced to withdraw from his June 16 fight against former UFC middleweight champion Rich Franklin (Pictures) after sustaining a serious injury to his left knee that could require surgery.

The Danish striker was set to make his UFC main event debut in Belfast, Northern Ireland, but his exit from the fight has sent Zuffa scurrying for a replacement.

iceman or rampage? hard to say, rampage is faster, but lidell hits pretty hard. octagon/ring might make a huge difference on who wins. but i think chuck is going into this more prepared (after getting taken out like he did the last time they fought) so i think he has the edge. i think if it goes to long, lidell may get discouraged. after what happened to crocop, hey, anything can happen.

I don't know.. I could only find 3 and the guy that beat him was walked in by Liddel.. Now I am not brain but it looks like if he doesn't take immediate control of his fights.. He gets beat.. But i want to see maor as the other two were good.. How does he do in longer fights??

agreed..... Sok is still fairly untested...... everyone is now aware of his early explosiveness...... it won't be long till he fights someone who can neutralize him early on.....

well despite what i said earlier i want rampage to win....... i seriously thin chuck has been "sheltered" the past 5 years...... lets not forget of his close relation with Dana....... and like his past 5-6 fights have been rematches........ i really hope they bring Shogun to the UFC......

I may be jumping on the bandwagon early but the kid has really impressed me.

His debut against Lil Nog was sweet and then beating Arona just over a month later was awesome. In Pride I usually like to go with the underdogs unless it's Fedor, I'll never go against Fedor in a fight

So far of his 5 MMA fights only 1 has gone to decision that he won against Gary Padilla (split dec.), he lost one fight to a KO but his 3 other other wins were all in the first round longest being 2minutes 11 seconds. Kinda reminds me of Liddell where almost half his wins were done in the first round.

Then again it could all just be part of 2007 being the year of the upset

Wanderlei Silva has stated he wants to fight Sokoudjou, I'm not the biggest Wandy fan but I do give him credit although his last couple of fights weren't his greatest but with a record of 31-7 he deserves credit where it's due, this could give Sokoudjou a good test but I still predict the same early finish.

What it basically boils down to is that the kid's full of energy and isn't afraid to BANG and that's what I really look for in a fighter, win or loss, all I want is energy. Like in Serra/GSP or Gonzaga/CroCop, my fighter lost in each fight but I don't care because it was done in an energetic style and not some boring circling scored match (diego/kos, syliva/monson) or a lay'n'pray (kos/leben, silva/kongo: luckily judges saw past silva's takedowns and gave it to kongo for his punches before the uneffective takedowns in each round)

Sorry for the long post, just trying to state why I like Sokoudjou, plus it's late and have no one else to talk to so I gotta bore you guys lol.

And to get back on topic... Who will win dun dun DUNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
