Lids for the 210

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I bought mine over 10 years ago from Greenhouse Megastore online when they were still offering the 4mm sheets in a 2 foot wide x 4 foot long 4-pack, unfortunately they don't offer that option anymore.

And WOW the price has really gone up for these products! The link to the options are Easy ship twinwall polycarbonate but they are out of stock on some thicknesses.

I ended up buying this for a temporary lid. But not sure if I can cut it for the hoses.

Your option is solid as well since it will be easier to cut.

Check out the Optix website for cutting and drilling recommendations. Just be aware that more than likely you will experience some sagging of the acrylic sheet as it will be exposed to water over time and will need to flip it over occasionally.

You may want to place the hoses and such the same distances apart on the tank so you when you flip it, they all line up.

Just curious how much that piece set you back price wise?

I tried that product on smaller tanks and it did not work well, always bowed and not strong enough to even hlod LED lights. Home Depot and Lowes sell polycarbonate greenhouse panels that are amazing for transparency and strength. It will support your lights and is even strong enough to hold bricks or rocks to stop large jumpers.

Sorry for the late reply Not sure why I didn't get a notification email... It cost $116 bucks.

I'm returning it though I ended up finding corrugated polycarbonite at Lowe's for 30 bucks.

Thanks I was able to find some polycarbonite greenhouse panels at Lowe's but not at home Depot. Returning this other stuff that I got.

Best of luck. I have most of my tanks set up eith this for the lids. Command strip hooks work great for handles. Comes in various colors.

Yup that's on my list to do... I use water bottles to weigh it down so the fish such as an arowana won't jump out. What do you use?
