Does anyone have some legitimate life advice for a 28 year old man. Maybe from a parent or woman. If anyone has some really good life advice, I'd really appreciate the input. My dad passed away and it really sucks and if I talk about it with my mom, friends, coworkers or therapists it might depress them. I don't smoke or drink but I do have some other bad habits I won't go into too much detail. Thanks in advance!

It'd just be cool to have someone who has had children give me their unique perspective since they may see or understand the world in a different way, a way in which I cannot really see since I don't have kids. Or maybe advice from and older person? Please, no trolls...

And not to rag on church people but alot of them look so starchy and fake like they're already ready to be put in a coffin. I feel bad that I feel that way like I'm being blasphemous but that is how I feel.

Also, when I see someone in a hijab i get startled and honestly this thread might get deleted for starting to talk about controversial subjects but i sincerely feel like there are a lot of smart cookies on this website and it would mean so much to me if I could get some legit advicd.

Im sorry about your dad passing.
If your seeing a therapist then you should absolutly talk to him/her its what they are paid for....they do not get depressed easily.

Lifes gonna punch you in the mouth....allot it doesnt matter how much you scream, cry, or punch walls all that matter is you eventually dust yourself off and keep trying.

Dont be afraid to make mistakes....mistakes are what makes us who we are.

Church people and those that where hijabs are not all bad people but i can somewhat understand where you are coming from. I got to church (not as much as i should) and i notice allot of the frauds you speak of. I also have a neighbor who is a pastor....he is a real p.o.s the other 6 days a week. I would love for his congregation to find out what he's really like. That being said theres also many many good people who are church goers.

My wife refuses to fly and also get nervous when shes around people wearing hijabs. Its an unfortunate result of 9/11 she witnessed things i would rather not type. She tries not to judge all people who wear them but her feelings are her feelings

Well said Jaws. The guy that lives down the street from me is a pastor and he is a bit of a douchenozzle in his own right.

Find something constructive to invest your time in. Idle thoughts can be the worst. Good books and long diy projects. Every time I went threw anything huge in life I've always ended up building a big project. Kinda a running joke among my friends, they've seen me do it and understand it's my coping method

Condolences and best wishes to you.

He might know the joker on my street lol.
There is another neighbor who is a handyman and he did some work for this charlatan and he didn't want to pay him the money that he agreed to.The guy confronted him about being paid and he cussed him out and told him to take his ass back in the house if he knows what's good for him. That got to me because the odd jobs he does is about all this guy has to generate income....and the pastor has the nerve to display a vanity plate on his vehicle with scriptures written on it.

Ohhh man that gets under my skin. My guy is real similar.

Our development is coming close to the point where the residents are going to be taking over the HOA. We all are planning on getting together to discuss this and talk about hiring a lawyer when the time comes just to make sure everything is on the up and up. He has the nerve to get all pissed and say he will not contribute any $$$ because hes just a pastor. Lmao the guy literally just had a built in pool installed and just got a new car.

To make matters worse this is the one that really got me. Some of us have drainage issues part of the plan to address it is to have swales cut behind our properties and have to water drain to the retention ponds. This area is called a utility easement and not in fact our property. This guy says he doesnt want the work done because he doesnt have any water issues and this doesnt benefit him at all......oh really so much for love thy neighbor !
