From experience and other sources, what is the oldest flowerhorn you have heard about? I read from another thread that FHs life expectancy is usually within 5 years.

Since FH are relatively new, i cant really find a lof of old FHs. So anybody have any idea?

i just read on a flowerhorn web sight around 8 years

Which website ?? Maybe some crosses can live longer than others?
But 5 years seems about the average.

i wanna know why it would be less than the regular oscar or midas that can live for like 15yrs or so. seems reasonable i just dont know why???? anyone with a scientific explanation here?? i dont wanna hear its because inbred genetics unless its the truth. hahahah. someone lets us know. who knows an ichthyologist?
