The light on my twenty gallon growout tank keeps blinking on and off. I have never had this issue before but I suspect that the bulb is about to finally burn out....or could it be the fuse?

Haunted fixtures,it's annoying as I've been getting a good film of green algae on the back glass panel but it may die off since I have been keeping the light switched off due to the blinking.
I'll purchase a new bulb over the next few days.
If the lid starts opening and closing I'll be outta there.
Is it a fluorescent or standard, if it's a Fluoro then you might need to swap the starter too.
