Magic Place Of Wonders And Delights
Ok i got this timer because i am not to sure if my fish is getting enough light the only light he usally gets is my bedroom light which kinda lights up the tank should i just leave it or put the timer on the tank if so how long should the light be one for???.

Unless you have plants or corals the lights are mostly for our viewing pleasure.

The fish wont really care one way or the other so set your timer for when your most likely to be watching the tank.. 6 hours is fine...

i was at my lfs today and asked the same question and i was told to have the light on for normal daylight hours.
