yeah dont turn on light to much
:screwy: how does that even answer his question. Hes asking if turning off the lights for too long will make his aro stress out to any light and you answer yes, and then you tell him not to turn on his lights for too long :screwy: If its a new aro, keep your lights COMPLETELY off for the first few days then when its settled in, turn it on whenever you feel like it. Turning off the lights will NOT make your aro stress out in the future when you do decide to turn the lights on.

i had a simliar problem with 1 of my tanks... i just used a smaller light strip from a diff tank i had and a less bright bulb... seemed to work just fine atleast in my case that is

oh ops no, it wont but dont turn on strong lights too much

Babies are going to be a bit shy no matter what you do.. just make sure tank is covered because they are jumpers.. even tiny holes should be taped... other then that i do not think the light is a problem.. try it for a few hours a day and make it longer lighting periods as he relaxes. As long as he is eating good ...no worries

definately. mine was about that size when i got him. wouldnt come out at all with lights on. now he could care less, light dont even effect him. may just take some time. my lights are fairly strong 400w cf over a 135gal.

Yeah, hes eating and every thing. Guess its just shy. Thanks.

so far I have had mine a week and the lights are on timers for the plants. They come on at 7:30 am and turn off at 5:00 pm. It doesnt bother him at all. I am sure it depends on where you got him and what he is use to. Plus all fish are different.

hmm that weird my HS silver gets stressed when i turn on the light to long
