he has been in a 300 gallon his whole life. Never ate live. Eating talapia, swai, prawns, and pellets. 50% W/C weekly as well.

If you have a 300g tank and it only grew to 5" then I think I might be golden as far as making this one a pocket nano fish.
I'm gonna see if small cage equals small fish.
That would make it easy for everyone to keep the fish they like in whatever tank size they can afford or house.

Filters and clean water also lead to quick growth...throw them out and use the tank as an ashtray...that will keep them nano!
