Lighter Maintenance Help

OK, so I just bought an expensive ass lighter and I need to fill it up with butane.

Now, I'm just curious, do I just go to any grocery store and buy the butane can or is it something else???

What kind of mainenance does a lighter need to keep it in top shape? Like replacing worn-down parts, etc.

Any help's appreciated.
 
thats about it just buy butane and beware of the you gotta light then steal your lighter people
 
They use standard butane and flints.
 
Yeah and thats it. Whats the name of the lighter? Collibri ?? I feel that the zippo lighters last longer than the butane ones but they are more maintenance.

In the end.. if your goal is to have something to light your cigarettes with and not to impress chicks, then i would wholeheartedly advice that you go with a disposable one.
 
butane usually has an igniter that will eventually wear out and you are pretty much hosed.
Grocery store butane is all you need to refill it, but a Zippo is the way to go really. They will never wear out with proper maintenance

Agreed , Used to have a nice zippo collection.. even had vintage ones from the late 60s... What happened to them ?? Friends stole em one by one ! :swear:
 
now.......soak them in butane and use a new zippo to ignite it.
Thats just wrong (the Zippo theft that is)
 
Love friends that smoke but dont have their own lighters or even matches.
Zippos last forever, all you need to replace is the wick ( after 2 years or so ) , flint and lighter fluid. Plus, you get to do all the fancy lighter tricks with Zippo... cant do that with butane.

Ill give you a free demo Ming..


P.S - Give up that cigarette habit. Its worse than keeping fish .

yea ming think about

all that extra money you would normally spend on cigs you could spend on fish :grinyes:
