Depends on what look you are going for. I like something around 8k myself 6500 is a little to yellow but as a mid morning color its kinda cool. Anything below 6000k and its not really great for plants....you need to take that with a grain of salt because that is a generlized statement and not completely true, leds break those rules all the time. Try something like thisThem seem cool but i need one that would look okay o freshwater, any idea?

Par38 plant led for the bottom and color changing par38 led for the top. Ive used par38s before those were some I looked at it took me a bit to find them the first time.twentyleagues what search did you do for those? I am interested in some that are dimmable that I could hang above and create me "own" 24/7 cycle with my home automation.

Par38 is great for range + bang for buck. Never tried dimming them but i guess adapter would work.twentyleagues what search did you do for those? I am interested in some that are dimmable that I could hang above and create me "own" 24/7 cycle with my home automation.
How tall is your tank? Could use LED Fluval Aquasky or any similar if u have shallow tank.. i like it bc u can change color range + also added T5 makes tank pop + speed up growth for plants.https://www.ebay.ca/itm/3W-54W-RGB-...2e:m:mEYQRK6rRQEms1jcofxnYQQ&var=583435383789
well I need three things for sure:
DIMMABLE
BRIGHT
RGB
How many lumans, or kelvin, or Watts am i looking for to get bright lights that can grow low light level plants???
My tank is 26 inchs... also i think i would go with the bulb on the first post, led bulbs do give a shimmer effectPar38 is great for range + bang for buck. Never tried dimming them but i guess adapter would work.
..different wattage bulbs / separate timer stages kinda like having a dimmer.

I tested with a low cost led 3000k bulb and it did enough,I don't want too much light it's blackwater, fish prefer low lightLike said before at 26" I dont think those lights will be effective.
What about something easy like this
