I already have the ballasts for compacts. I will be making an oak canopy to match my stand. Then all I need is to buy some compacts off ebay, and I be set. You ever heard of soilmaster used in tanks?
I have CF, and it isn't powerful enough to penetrate the water, and keep red plants red, and ground covers low. I do have HO T5 lights, and one 36" fixture with only one bulb is enough to light my 150 show tank.
If you are just doing those plants 2 will do fine, but four will help them to grow faster. Anubias are generally slow growing, but when you put them under a lot of light with co2, anubias grow fast. Also, by doing the four, if you later decide you want to add some higher light plants, you won't have to change anything, just add the plants.
