So I got an idea recently from an issue I have been presented with in my new apartment...
My bedroom has a ceiling fan, but the light switch is not attached to it and I dont have a good location for a lamp to plug into the wall outlet attached to the switch (who's dumb idea that was to not wire it to the fan i have no idea...)
So when I walk into my bedroom at night it is pitch black and I usually trip on something I got laying around. Solution...the clapper!
Haha, seriously though, has anyone ever used this before? I am thinking about using it to hook up to my fish tank lights, which will be a low wattage light so if it if dark and the lights come on it wont blind the fish. Something basically just bright enough to light up the tank a little and shine a little light around for navigating...kill two birds with one stone. Light the tank when I am in the room, and navigation light haha
So anyone use the clapper, know how they work? Are they just cheap junk that will stop working in a month? Do you have to clap super loud to make it work? I think this could have potential for a great solution to the problem, unless people have experience with this and it does not work...
