ive been hearing from alot of members on how there arowana gets spoked easy when they have the fish with the lights off at night.....

well whos aro is chill when the lights go off?

my tank is always quiet at night, aro never freaks out for no reason when the lights go out and darkness takes over the tank.

mine is very chilled during nighttime. He just swims gracefully and never had any strange this thusfar. I must add that i use blue leds during night. They are very dimmed tho, so not much light.

When people are saying that they're aros spook more at night I don't think they mean for nothing... Like if you slammed the door it might freak more at night then it would with the lights on. I personally keep a night-glow light on so I can watch my cats, and my jar never stops swimming around.

My jars never stop swimming I know cause sometimes I watch them with light off in almost complete darkness. I know in the morning when I turn the light on they seem out of it because they are all bumping into each trying to get themselves together.

I think my fish and aro knows my nightly routine and knows when to expect the lights to go off hence they hardly ever get spooked.:)

my aro use to be easily spooked. I now have a lighting mcqueen night lite lamp sitting on the tank that i my son let me use. The aro does really well with the little bit of red light.

It depends what one calls night light... Mine are never left in total darkness, even if for nothing else, the street lights send some light into the room they're in....

But I do believe aro's ( of course with external stimuli ) easily spook if in absolute darkness....and then, of course, some may not.....
