Lights on your tanks

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I am wanting to go to led have not yet. I did just get a cheap spot light for a temp holding tank and used a full spectrum Florescents compact twist I was amazed how much brighter it was than my t5's and seems whiter too. I think with your foot print I would look at a few spot light of some kind that way you could have options on there position instead of just straight across. Good luck awesome tank btw

3 150w Pendulum Halogens setup in a triangular positioning would be really cool on this footprint.....
The shadow rippling would be awesome!

You can adjust the color to your personal settings. I have 3 units on my tank. 2x2ft and a 3 fter The vid comes out a lot more blue than when seen in person.. guess the camera picks up more blue than human eyes

Do you have algae problems with the 10k? BD/marble, idk what the other girl is...was sold to me as bd/pearl but I see henlei/motoro maybe, male hystrix and I just added small marble pair. Any ideas what this girl might be?

Not too much algae. There is some black beard algae growing on the pothos roots and some on the anubias.

I would go with kessil, the ones I've seen produce a fantastic shimmer, i believe they have 6700 and 10000 setups. It's a pendant, so it must be hung to get your sweet spot.

I have ecoxotic e series, but probably much too weak for a 6x6x2. It barely lights my 120
