Lights out nice jar, lights on mean jar..

has anyone noticed this with their Jardini?

Mine seems like he likes to show off when the lights are on and beat up his tank mates, but when the lights are off he is the biggest sissy in the tank.


He doesnt look like a meanie does he?

he is when the lights are on thats for sure. as soon as i turn the lights on the other tankmates run for cover. he still hunts them out of their hiding...lol well not that funny..

could be or could be photophobia. maybe the light scares him so much he takes it out on them...but your could be right about the nyctophobia. maybe i should get him a teddy bear...

It's normal with any arowana, any fish, or anyone. When light's out, their vision is impaired, so they're mellow down, or panic sometimes, but can't be aggressive.. Put yourself in a dark room, you would be the same

yea I'm a wuss in the dark....

I just noticed it with the Jar. my bass, dats, FH are all active when the lights are out. maybe i'll jus keep the light off...
