Mate, it's the opposite with my Barramundi. For example, Barramundi are a Nocturnal fish, so when I turn the lights off, they are in their zone, that's when they mostly hunt for the feeder fish. I'm thinking your fish is Diurnal, so he's most active at day, when the lights go off he goes into rest mode.

Same here, my jar seems to act nice when the lights are on and usually turns gangsta when the lights go off.
