Take a look at the BeamWorks LED lights. They look like a knock-off of the Marineland lights for about 1/2 the price. Reviews that I've seen have all looked good.
I really wanted to do LED's but I just dont know. I tried the el chepo ebay floods and hated the color (yellow). I got a beamworks LED reef bright to try and the light is way to focused and doesnt cover hardly any of the tank and the color is ok but I feel it washes the fish out a tad. So I think I am going to run T5Ho on my 374. They have the DIY LEDs that are hot for reefs but again I worry it might wash out the freshwater fish some and its expensive to test. I may still add a few leds to the t5's to add the shimmer...but for me I think T5HO power glows are what I will end up running.
Got a couple Marineland double LED lights for my 125, and I am not crazy about them. Cool looking for an accent light, but compared to fluorescent lighting, they don't even light up the tank to see the fish at all. I will probably sell these and go back to fluorescents.
