Wow, nice. I had a female costa rican once before and, even though this could just be a coincidence, it was much more calm. This fish is pretty territorial for a young buck. (hence the castle ornament had to get pulled out for cover from the box of misfit decorations, thanks again for calling me out on that elisuwe.) Thanks for the replies everyone.

That's a beaut too. Nice fish. I'm kind of excited to see the male version of this fish, just a little worried about what happens when I open the 220 up and he meets these guys, residing in the other 2/3rds of the tank. I already know he's done some flexing at the big Jag, which is real tough considering the divider is securely in place, but we will have to see how it all shakes out when he gets some size to him. The Dempsey and Jag are both males too, so I'm sure threes company.
