First the Fishwife Stew, now Kobe Bleu Balls - you're making me want to drive to Newport!

As far as horse meat, it can be pretty good. Once we were in Mexico and we bought a couple different kinds of chorizo sausage. After we tried both we went back to get some more of the one we liked better. I looked at the ingredients to see the difference - the one we didn't like as well was made with pork and beef, the one we liked better was made with pork and horse. Of course that was ground up with pig, but I might try a horse steak if it was on the menu.

The problem with horse meat, especially in the U.S. and Western Europe, is that most of the horses that are slaughtered are old or sick, not young animals as is the case with beef/pork/lamb. Another problem is that people generally don't raise horses with the intention of eating them, so a lot of crazy drugs/hormones are used on them. I learned all this and more by listening to NPR.

Never had them myself. LOL, enjoy you horse lovers

I don't eat horse-meat myself, and honestly I'd be upset if I found out I was eating horse meat.

In all honesty, I've tried to lower my meat consumption, overall.
