dont stress too much bro, im sure its just a stage he's going thru and hes prolly eating a lil bit when your not looking. whats your temp at? try bumping it to 83 and add a lil salt. the temp should increase his metabolism and the salt will work as a mild laxitive to see if he can clean out a lil. if he still doesnt eat you might have to mix up your own lil dose of food and use a straw and feed him like that just to get food in his belly, but ive never had to do that so... If worse comes to worse i just sent ira a bunch of fry or you can grab a couple lil guys off me. did you check your water perameters too? this just sounds too wierd to me but good luck bro
 
My water parameters are perfect. I keep him pampered when it comes to enviroment. My temp has been 84 degrees for the last 3 months. My salinity level has been 1 tsp. to 5 gallons ratio the last 5 months as well.

This is wierd to me and thats why I'm worried.

I never introduced any new fish or fed any live foods since having Jr.

All my other fish are eating fine in the tank even though Jr beats them all up.

I can't see this being parasites.

Ok yeah it doesnt sound parasitic, how is his behavior and activity been lately? hows his color, does he looked stressed? if he is still acting normal then im sure he'll come around. now when youve been feeding lately do you leave the food in the tank till next cleaning or do you clean up right away. I think he is eating just not when your looking and obviously not much since his belly has shrunkin. I dont see the salt being an issue but i only treat ilness or stress with salt and i havent kept a tank with consisten salinity either.

Thank you:) i cant wait either, I left these two undivided over nite and all is well so i may have them spawning within the week;)
 
Jr has been acting normal , and color looks great.

I took a photo of him 2 days ago and posted it in my Jr update thread.

He looks like daddy big time in my latest photo.

I must say he has been digging a bit and acting very aggressive.
 
Ok it sounds like everything else is normal so don't give up in him I'm sure he'll come around
 
LOL i knew he would:) fish can go alot longer without food than we think. adults can go close to a month before burning off muscle. so yours was prolly just slowed down til the next growth spurt.
 
I think its a spawning behavior for him.

He is acting very aggressive with my other fish like he's trying to spawn.
