Nice. I like black aros.
Jus wondering, do they fight?

Yep I like them too even though theyre more difficult to feed, slower in growth, and less common to find than most other arowanas. And as far fighting goes, so far not only do they never fight but they shoal together and if something startles them they huddle up together for security- its pretty cute

i still need to bring over than piece of screen

tell jim jr to stop sitting on the bottom of the tank.. hes being a bad influence on chet jr..

one of the mollies in the 60gallon "these are food" tank is either about to die or give birth.. so there may or may not be some more "aro m&ms" on the way.. either way the other 60gallon "these are food" tank is almost ready for another $5 in feeders so we can keep this Q process going correctly...

me and jim are being good parents.. only healthy babies are being fed to our children..

One of the babies has seemed weaker than the other two- so weak at times, it has even been stuck to the powerhead. So I turn off the unit (uh-huh huh...unit) and he happily swims away. Clearly this weak/lazy one was little Chet. Its fairly easy to tell because the weak/lazy behavior along with the fact that this one always seems to have a blank, almost vacant look in his eyes. This youth is obviously not as strong nor smart as the other two- namely Jim jr and lil'Jimmy. Armed with these facts it makes for an easy assumption- especially if you know big Chet, its sad to say, but these are also his two most dominant traits.
But today all three seem good and strong and with healthy appetites. The dorsal area seems a little less black and a bit more brown today. If that keeps up I'd say that the beautiful baby colors are leaving, but its only the first day I noticed it. I also had forgot to mention that I add less than 1 teaspoon of salt to the water with each change, I add more salt than that to both my adult arowana tanks with each change
3x bloodworms- constant baby guppies- 50% WC with 1 teaspoon of salt

nice

I guess I should have expected this- I just split up the baby black battle royale. The tank was a half filled 20g- now its 3 ventilated attached 3 1/3g's... I think. I had some .99 store baskets- so I heated them cut and bent them into dividers with floss as the gaskets- its barely working and looks like someones buttpipe turned inside out and left on the dashboard with the windows up in the midday sun, but its late and its better than watching chet jr and one of the jims get killed by the other jim

o goodie!
