i have black lancer and was wondering if i could keep a lima shovelnose with it

They're both relatively peaceful, the lima will get bigger. the lancers will probably max around 9". The lima might get twice that size, but it will take a while.

black lancers can be tough to keep with others as they are very nocturnal, in my limited experience and from what I've heard. the lima should grow a lot faster than the lancer, so watch out for that. if the lancer is too big to fit in the limas mouth and there are plenty of hiding places for the lancer, i don't think you would have a problem.

however, I have a 10"+ LSN and a 5" black lancer and I will never try them in the same tank. IMO, the lancer should be full grown or at least a lot larger than the LSN (not large enough to eat it though)

ok ill stay away from that partnership what about a giraffe cat with the lima the tank is 100 gal 6x1.5x1.5ft

my lima and giraffe get along wonderfully, the lima is bout 12in the giraffe is 18in and they have no problems, jus a race 2 see who gets the food first

ok i have a giraffe and lima together no problems. so far. dont want to jinx myself.

what kind of growth rate does the lancer have? cause mine doesnt seem to be growing all that quickly, if at all really.
