im planning on purchasing a lima sn cat for my new 125 when it is done cycling, what are some good tankmates, cichlis, dats, really open to anything so if anybody could share there experiences with me i would really appreciate it

They're quite socialble so you could a group of them, i have mine in with a mixture atm of the following:
Bichir's
Rays
Oscar
Tire Track Eel
Plec
and not had any problems with them , if the bichir's decide to have a funny 5 minutes bashing around the tank the lima just go's upright out of the way.
I would be worried with more agressive cichlids though, my lima is around 12-13inch and got bullied by a 4 inch Jack Dempsey so i had to remove it.
One thing to also think about is they do have big mouths and are fast! i tried large bosemani rainbows in the tank and it took them out over a week.
this may sound wierd, but what bout sunfish? i asked this in the native forum also, i have lots of questions sorry
tin foils are too active for your tank size-ive got two limas with a grow on silver arrowana (that will move when bigger) synos and fancy plecs.
i have not had any problem with this list 1 jack dempsy 2 limas 1 lace cat 1 albino channel cat. i think the only reason i dont have a problem with the dempsy is because its kind of a wuss lol.
My lima keeps to its self....I have hime in with silver gar, Pbass, Jar Arowana, Pleco, Dat, and Bicher....No issues!!
