As long as the bichirs are not a lot smaller than the lima you will be fine. Otherwise the lima may eat them.

I keep a lima with my bichirs and have no problems whatsoever. I like limas because they don't get massively large and look nice as well. It's too bad there aren't many catfish that stay in the same size range compared to the monsters and wee ones.

this is also what i was worried about i think i will add the lima and gar last so that everything else is full sized
