i have read 12", 18" and 2' what is there max size. also are they schoolers?? thanks for all the help :)

I would say max size is in the 16-20 inch range and as far as the schooling part not sure. I only had one and he was 16" when i sold him..

how long does it take for them to get to a good size because i have a silver aro 4.5", 3 p bass 2-3.5", and a clown loach 4.5".

The lima will get to 18 inches and grow extemely fast. I have heard up to 2 inches a month. If you buy one at 3 inches, then you should be able to add him right away. The clown loach needs a new home immediately. The loach will be food for the lima when the lima reaches 5-6 inches.

ok he will go into my bros tank. will an oscar beat him up i just got one to day 3.5" are they schoolers.

bump

Agreed. The lima(in a CLEAN DECENT SIZED) tank, will reach 22 + inches and devour anything less than half his size. He will silently float verticly, and when a smaller fish comes by- SNAP- it's gone, lol!
