Agreed, and sounds right. My lima was 16'' when he passed. three years old.

How does it do with the cichlids in the tank? It will probably be another year or more before I get a larger tank. The parents told me they don't want anymore; I'm pretty sure I can convince them to just let me put a 125 in the basement though.

The cichlids don't bother with the lima,and a 125g would be a good home long term for it.
