Lince Catfish (Platynematichthys notatus)

I'm not sure smaller sizes would help, at least with the larger sizes people might be a little more realistic about tank size. Having watched one (~16" IIRC) swimming laps of a members 8x6' footprint tank I'd hate to think of the number that don't end up with adequate space. As the OP said they're basically the FW equivalent of a pelagic shark, they really do need a massive space relative to their size so they can stretch their fins.

They are stunning fish, but another species I can't help but feel we should be leaving in the rivers in most cases...
