Hello everyone,
We originally ended up with a breeding pair
of flowerhorns, both having very big teeth,
both have two seperate very long and sharp spikes.

Have you guys ever known or heard of people breeding
cichlids for larger teeth? Line breeding or crossing
dovii and flowerhorns and other with teeth?

We hope that these fry end up with teeth just like their
parents have. And when ever we look for new keepers locally
we always look for teeth,

What if people started crossing dovii and others to each other for
teeth?
I would pick up a large crazy aggressive hybrids with huge teeth?

Do you guys think my flowerhorn project will work? or have any effect
on producing more teeth-ier offspring? And we will also consider
breeding our dovii and flowerhorn.

What do you guys think? All input would be very nice good or bad,
I want to hear you all.

Thank You

There is no doubt that odd or unusual traits can be selected for. In my experienced oppinion it can happen MUCH faster than most realize.

And don't let the naysayers discourage you!! If you want a monster, pissed off piranha mimick....go for it!

Why don't you just try and get the hybrids some dentures.

pics will be coming up this afternoon,
Anyways weve always wanted something very large
super aggressive and a good glass banger.
+ teeth
We have a 150 in our living and kept one large male dovii for years
and he would always attack. My family loved him and became a known
through my whole large family.
We like teeth we all watch river monsters and see huge predators,
Weve entertained the idea of breeding our dovii to our flowerhorns,
two of our flowerhorns have teeth (as posted).
I can post a pic of my flowerhornxconvict flowerhorn with teeth.
ill have to take pics of Mr. Dovii and my flowerhorns,
Overall we want something large aggressive and will be kept alone,
Something with noticable teeth, and a think a doviixflowerhorn
will be very aggressive. We want to highlight a large male in
our 150 again. This time we want meaner.

Our produced adult flowerhornxconvicts,
they were raised as fry here all the way
to these two adults these are brother and sister.
They are a combo of female red monkey flowerhorn
and male black convict,
These guys are way more aggressive then normal cons but do not
get past five inches.
We want to now breed our male dovii to a female flowerhorn
both having teeth. And if we can well breed the offsprings
back to our male dovii again. Hoping this will be what were
looking for.
Our exact idea:
(Dovii big teeth x FH med. teeth) = DOVII X FH HYBRID
(doviixFh teeth x dovii big teeth) = doviixfh X dovii hybrid
Which equals Large teeth x meduim teeth x large Picture 214.jpgPicture 217.jpgteeth
